OUR FOUNDING STORY

The South Asian Business Association was founded in 2022 by friends Rohan Sharma '24 and Vishwajit Sharma ’23. They saw a need at Cornell for a business organization with an innovative curriculum that ventured beyond finance and management consulting to explore all facets of the world of business, including entrepreneurship, alternative asset investing, and technology. This mission, coupled with a desire to bring South Asian Cornellians together into a tight-knit community, led to the founding of SABA.

The pair brought together many of the most accomplished South Asian Cornell students and alumni as mentors to bolster a carefully designed new member process and proudly inaugurated its first New Member Class in Fall 2022.
